I simply can’t let a summer go by without my annual treat of a trip on the open top bus – the service 300 which does a circular route beginning and terminating at Penzance stopping at numerous places including Porthcurno, Lands End, Geevor Mine, St Ives and Marazion. You purchase a day ticket for £7.20 and can hop on and off as many times as you like in the day, with buses approx every 3 hours and travelling in either direction on this meandering, circular route.
If you were planning a car free holiday you could use it every day and walk along different stretches of the coastal footpath, go to the beach in St Ives, Porthcurno or Marazion, have lunch and do the art galleries in St Ives………..such a lovely way to enjoy the landscape of West Cornwall.
